The Youth Council of Castilla y León, together with other partners from different European countries: Spain – Fundación Aspaym Castilla y León, Italy – CEIPES, Romania – Gamma Institute and Portugal – Rosto Solidario, is developing the project “Radio Theater: Tales of the Quarantine ”, Co-financed by the Erasmus + Program of the European Union.
The “Radio Theater” project seeks to provide youth workers and social educators with new tools that allow them to improve the skills of young people in terms of creativity, public speaking, teamwork, body expression, artistic expression, time management, self-knowledge, new electronic resources and technologies. The initiative is part of the horizontal priority to which this special call responds, the development of competences and inclusion through creativity and the arts, since the use of radio-novels and the impact it generates in working with young people are the common thread of the project.
The main objective of this project is based on creating a strategic association to promote creative and artistic competences (corporal expression, self-knowledge, narrative, public speaking, theatrical) in the field of work with the youth population, especially with young people with fewer opportunities, in order to develop, test and implement innovative methods through the use of radio and theater as a creative educational tool. These methods are intended to improve the competencies of youth by promoting their skills, abilities and values, favoring learning and key competences through the use of digital tools, especially important in the situation of social distancing that has caused Covid-19.
The first transnational meeting of the project “Radio Theater: Tales of the Quarantine” was held on December 21st, 2021. Due to COVID-19, the partners held the meeting through an online conference.
